The neighbourhood
Termini is close, but Via Marghera has a different pace: a handsome, comparatively quiet residential street, away from the traffic of the main station approaches. Restaurants and cafés nearby make it easy to head out for dinner and walk home.
There is plenty to discover on foot, too: grand piazzas, ancient baths and the city’s historic gateways. Porta Pia, one of Rome’s monumental city gates, and the Aurelian Walls bring another layer of Rome into the surrounding neighbourhood.
- PORTA PIA
- A historic city gate with an inner facade designed by Michelangelo.
- THE AURELIAN WALLS
- Ancient Rome still standing. The restored Viale Pretoriano walkway can be visited on scheduled, pre-booked visits.
- AROUND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
- Walk towards the Baths of Diocletian, Piazza della Repubblica or Santa Maria Maggiore, with a coffee stop along the way.

Termini, a huge advantage
An easy arrival, more of Rome within reach, and a simple onward journey. Termini brings airport trains, both main metro lines and high-speed rail together, so you can spend less of your stay working out how to get around.
- FROM FIUMICINO AIRPORT
- The Leonardo Express runs directly to Termini in about 32 minutes, with no changes. From the station, make your way to The Hotel for check-in.
- METRO A · PIAZZAS & THE VATICAN
- Spagna for the Spanish Steps, Flaminio for Piazza del Popolo, and Ottaviano for St Peter’s and the Vatican area.
- METRO B · ANCIENT ROME & MONTI
- Cavour for Monti, Colosseo for the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and Circo Massimo for the Circus Maximus and the Aventine area.
- BEYOND ROME
- High-speed trains make Florence and Naples easy onward destinations, with services continuing to Bologna, Milan and Venice.
